Do you you suffer from validated entitlement and neglect? If your judgement is cloudy due to these symptoms, you may be suffering from Affluenza.

Affluenza:

A social condition arising from the desire to be more wealthy, successful or to "keep up with the Joneses". Affluenza is symptomatic of a culture that holds up financial success as one of the highest achievements. People said to be affected by affluenza typically find that the very economic success they have been so vigorously chasing ends up leaving them feeling unfulfilled, and wishing for yet more wealth.

Due to the boy's condition, he was only sentenced to 10 years probabition, and is going to rehab. Granted, it's $450K worth of rehab, but it ain't jail.

Wealthy brat Ethan Couch killed four people, including a mother and daughter, while blacked-out drunk (and on Valium) and driving 70 mph on a rural road in June. Defense attorneys said the boy suffered from 'affluenza' and blamed the boy's parents, saying they gave him everything he wanted and didn't teach him about consequences.

Ethan Couch, 16, was facing 20 years behind bars for the horrific June wreck, but instead walked out of a Fort Worth courtroom Tuesday with 10 years' probation.
The rich brat's legal team said he needed counseling, not hard time, and proposed sending him to a posh Southern California treatment facility that would cost his family $500,000 a year.

Other articles claim he was stole the beer from a local Walmart, and that three hours after the accident that killed four, he blew a 0.24.

WTF is wrong with people.

If the judge was looking for alternative punishments here, then he should have to volunteer with MADD/AA making funeral arrangements for grieving families who have lost someone to a drunk driver for the rest of his natural life.

He should be rotting in a prison cell. I don't believe in this Affluenza BS. It doesn't give anyone an excuse to drive drunk (underage!) and kill someone.
